Who doesn’t love chocolate ice cream? With temperatures soaring, it’s usually one of my go-to treats to cool off especially after a long day out. As I’m always on the look for trying new flavors, I’ve decided to try doing it myself and create a perfect chocolate ice cream bowl – with a twist of pistachio. Pairing nuts and chocolate isn’t new, but it’s mostly peanuts, walnuts, or almonds. Pistachios are an amazing healthy snack by themselves; after all they are part of the healthy fat group.
Now mixing them with some delicious chocolate ice cream can create a distinct flavor not easily found in stores. Of course, dark chocolate doesn’t work here, so you’ll need a quality chocolate that is not filled with sugar to sweeten it. I prefer to order chocolates online to get best tasting chocolate, make sure I’m getting the best bang for my buck, and one shop has never failed me so far: Chocolak.com – I recommend going through their selections and picking a smooth-silky chocolate to prepare your ice cream.
