Treat yourself with a rich cake that is suitable for every season and occasion. This is mainly due to the contrast of flavors; the sweetness and saltiness mixture is definitely going to leave you asking for more. The best of it is that this is one of the easiest mug cakes you can do and it doesn’t even need an oven. Get some creamy peanut butter and for the chocolate try to , I recommend using Tavoletta Mediterraneo to balance the flavors well and get the entire delicious undertones in the chocolate; in case you had trouble finding it, you can order chocolates online through Chocolak online store as they provide chocolate gifts delivery to many countries. Don’t just use cocoa powder, which will make your cake taste like a store bought candy bar.

So as you can see, it’s one of the easiest ways to create a delicious treat without the hassle of finding quality ingredients as you can buy chocolates online and find the rest of the ingredients in your cupboard.

Ingredients

  • 15 grams of unsalted butter
  • 50 grams of Tavoletta Mediterraneo chocolate, chopped (you can find these chocolates online at Chocolak)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tablespoons of low-fat milk
  • 2 Tablespoons of caster sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of flour (self-raising)
  • 2 Tablespoons of creamy peanut butter (try looking for ones made from natural peanut as they will contain virtually no trans fats at all)
  • Handful or roasted peanuts, chopped (in case you had raw peanuts, just roast them yourself in the oven for 10-15 minutes).
  • Pinch of salt

Procedure

  • 1

Get a porcelain mug (without any metal in it) and place the chopped chocolate and the butter in it. Microwave for 20 seconds or until everything has melted.

  • 2

Take out the mug from the microwave and add the milk and the egg to the melted mixture, and beat it until thoroughly combined.

  • 3

Next add the caster sugar, self-raising flour, and salt and mix it again until you have a smooth batter. It’s now time to add the peanut butter, but without stirring it in – it will sink down during the cooking process.

  • 4

Place the mug in the microwave for 3 minutes. Make sure it’s on high power or 1000W. After removing from the microwave, top the mug cake with the remaining peanuts and enjoy.
